THE GUIDE

Here are some examples of the major parties available in our riding. Please make sure to read all the platforms and choose what represents YOU the most.

Your vote is your own and you should choose which one is important to you. Not someone else.

The Local Candidates:

Jocelyn Johnson

Jocelyn Johnson is passionate about helping people recognize their power and developing the civic engagement tools for political and collective action.

Born in Oyen, Alberta and raised in Medicine Hat, Jocelyn is an Albertan to her core. She has experienced firsthand the harmful cuts that Conservative provincial governments have implemented over the years. It's this experience that has driven her to push for progressive change throughout her career.

Andy Shadrack

I was made an honorary member of Winston Churchill’s Conservative Constituency Association of Wanstead and Woodford in 1963. In 1970, I emigrated to Canada as an agricultural labourer on an assisted passage. I worked as a consultant on the Wood River Thermal Energy project for SaskPower outside Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, in the mid-1980s and for Medicine Hat College on recruitment and retention from 1986 to 1987.

Where and When do I vote?

The only information of where and when to vote will be posted at Elections Canada so please make sure to follow them for links. I've attached a link to their website for Medicine Hat.

Please make sure to look at the dates you can vote. Advance Polls are very accommodating and have long hours. You can attend with shorter wait times than election day.

Where the heck do I go?

All information on where you will need to go to vote for both early polls or election day is located at the link below.
